During 2mins on my lunchbreak on Tuesday I took some pictures of a Wotsit on flowers because bees are really hard to capture when there on flowers. I had the thought a while ago and it seemed that just then I needed cheering up. I giggled to myself as I eat my lunch. I’m glad other people have liked it.
It’s been an odd week — I’m still not being that truthful when talking about how I am. I’m fine though or good and when talking to people really don't want to go through everything — and nor will I hear (just yet) I need to find the words and the time. What I don’t want to miss though is that I went to the most deeply emotional MS Teams call I have ever had, it was a very lovely touching thing and it’s safe to say I took a good hour to regain my composure. Music that is personal is a powerful thing.
I had three lovely chats this week which had been prompted by the three blogposts Learning from the places where informal and formal change activity meet — Part One | by Nour Sidawi | Medium
The first was with @MikiTalbot and Nour Sidawi as Nour, Clare and I are of to chat to the U.N.I.C.O.R.N.S. Everytime I work with someone from Canada one thing gets my brain thinking a lot is the Land Acknowledgement. It makes me wonder what we should do in the UK (England) — how I should open ever event… the cogs are still going on that.
The second chat was with Thea Snow and @LenaKuenkel, Nour, Clare and I. We talked about all sorts of things, it was very lovely. The thing that still sticks out most is our need to label and the models that we hold. I don't think it will be the last of our chats at least not with Lena.
Models that we hold was the main thrust of our chat and the last of the week with Anne Collis it made me consider some things that I have intrain and was deeply enriching as Anne talked Nour and I through her work as she gets ready for her viva. It reminded me of some things and has provided more threads to follow.
In other things this week. I went to the Senior Management Group (SMG) to talk about Together Day which were not doing on a farm this time, not doing in September. It was a really helpful and productive conversation. My next step is to pull together a working group to work through the next steps.
Our all hands this week was with @AmandaOwen8 which was great.
We are getting somewhere on figuring out how to determine who in the programme we don’t hear from that much. Lots of data gathering and crunching to follow.
Lots of other digging around on culture. In advance of our Show and Tell I compiled a list of everything that people had sent me and I had discovered — well some of that Cultural Reading it felt nice to put it together. Lots to read.
I became a coachee and am looking forward to where that journey takes me — I have three questions to consider over the coming week and a bit in advance of our next chat.
I ran the June FFCP Introduction Event — as ever I added with and tweaked some slides the day before. I do feel like I ramble though when doing them, being all out their is not a comfortable mode. I stood up for this one, which was nice as I hadn't for a while — I need to get into a rhythm of standing and sitting — it’s very easy to slump in a chair all day.
And as ever there were lots of lovely chats, hard chats and space in-between.
