What a lovely week. Definitely had my mojo, definitely had lots of mojo Thursday. Here are some of my highs and lows. Thank you for writing this future past me, your welcome ;)

Things to be better at

  1. I was late to three meetings this week, and completely missed one. Things landed back to back and I got so absorbed in one meeting that I missed another one. I’ve now resolved to write down what my meetings are at the beginning of the day.
  2. Not quite understanding, near the beginning of the week I was thinking we had to do some things, lots and lots of things really urgently. I got a little panicky. I can be better at this.

Things that were nice

  1. I submitted all my words for the Organisation Design and Development Advanced Practitioner Programme. Thankfully the team running the program found my ODQ which is frankly just odd that I couldn’t considering I had it in October when I started the outline of the initial draft. Still it’s done, and I at some points enjoyed the process of reflection. I will see if it is enough to pass.
  2. There was a Christmas Fare in the Canteen today. It turns out all the veg is localish (from Kent) that’s a picture of them.
  3. I mentioned how we needed to look out for each other in our Culture Team (What if…) retro, right now with a General Election next week its peak if not near peak slide and briefing frenzy. I even offered at one point to hold the pen one one. Boss Lady (Hannah) doesn’t think it would be a good idea, I thinks she’s right but I’m glad I offered. We discussed it over lunch, I felt better, I will endeavour to create more space for chats. MaybeI should get a sofa.
  4. Working with people who are really good at what they do and who are also creatives, I find it energising.

Things that were exciting

  1. James C is back.
  2. I found 8 pin boards, and a room that needs sorting out…. Big Smiles

Things that I read that gave me buzz

1. I got to page 30 of Doughnut Economics and am loving it. It really fits with my initial thinking on what government is and is hear to do. https://www.kateraworth.com/doughnut/

2. https://twitter.com/seannalee/status/1202810111963480064 because of its simplicity and style.

3. New Zealand’s draft Public Sector Act – I’ve only dipped in and out. I’m not sure about creating one Organisation I need to read and understand more.

Things that were sad

  1. A colleges Grandad died, it’s hard.
