It has been a tough week. I was quite low in mood, it happens I’m used to it. I’ve been burning through my reserves and got agitated over last weekend about my write up — still I found a way through and a few meetings towards the end of this week lifted my mood. So I’m looking forward to getting the write-up done.
I’m also not on the train — I’m working from home today, so now going to get this out before I go and pick up Eloise. But it means I have a keyboard — which is dangerous for me.
This week I really enjoyed:
1. Having a go at mapping things in my head and that we had on a flip chart. It’s the first time I had used Kumu but here is is strategicframework-sandbox I think it could be helpful. Any thoughts much appreciated. For me it looks like a lot of what I’ve touched so far is in the leaders space, this is something that I find troubling, and yet I’ve just spent two hours doing a slide pack for Head of Departments — It wasn’t my task to do but I just wanted to show other ways in which we can do things — maybe in a latter edition I’ll share it.
2. Our creative content session that Sarah and Graham ran, I had to duck out to do a thing on leadership (Civil Service Live next year) but I really enjoyed our session together — I got a wiggle out of it :)
3. I enjoyed our creative time as a team — I don’t remember what we did, but Hannah booked it in and we craked on.
4. Finding a good place to get shoes https://po-zu.com/ thanks to Sam Villis
5. Scheming with OneGreenGov and OneTeamGov peeps.
This week I really didn’t enjoy:
1. My mood.
2. Overthinking about how my privilege is built on slavery and the industrial revolution which are big causes of climate change.
3. Getting all hung up about a diargramme Nour Sidawi had done particularly as she had written up the goals https://medium.com/oneteamgov/one-team-govs-2020-goals-952003433021
