This week

I had some staggering reflection earlier on in the week that I thought I should get into my weeknotes. I didn't add it at the time and don't remember what it was. Oh well. There are proliferation of postit notes around me. I need a postit to tell me to sort out my postits. Perhaps when Eloise goes back to school I’ll reclaim the white and chalk board. I say perhaps — like it may not happen and it so very is :)

While were on that subject England is still in lockdown, we have a roadmap out of it based on data with dates there is incongruence between those two but that doesn't really matter. The first thing is all Schools going back on the 8th so new routines cometh.

So many lovely chats this week. Thinking Time with Mirren who is leading on EDI was wonderful. It felt both helpful and was stimulating at the same time. Quite a few lovely chats with Nour Sidawi in with CP Moran delving into the past to get insights for the present so you can consider different futures is both rewarding. It also tends to leave ones brain in a state of needing to dream a lot. Though I’m quite prone to that anyway.

I wrestled with Qualtrics this week to build a report for the FFCP Wellbeing Tracker. Some things were intuitive and others less so. I also find that I find workarounds more readily than finding functionality which then actually gets in the way of finding the functionality.

Things progress for the FFCP Wellbeing Day, which was lovely to see. Becky and Beth did a fantastic pitch as an Show and Tell and Mark is back which is great. Though Heather is now having to step away which is a shame. I keep wondering how Ashwin is as he is now off. I’m pushing hard just to use Easy Retro — we will see how that goes, were also going to be asking people that have pitched to set up their own MS Teams invite — so they have full control from the off.

The Miro for the CoDEC Team session seemed to go ok. I think I will miss Eloise walking in to shot dressed as Snow White during the middle of me facilitating. I need to come back to that and tidy it up next week so we can carry of filling out the other box’s next time.

On Monday — ah I think this was the thing I was going to write down (love my brain) On Monday I helped out at a stakeholder/partner event. It was really nice especially as one of them used to be a Farmer. It made me think about a number of things — in particular what is our number (what is the thing that we will measure) and who in Defra Group is going to measure it. Latter on in the week I also had another epiphany about what we could achieve during a meeting on insights. Still not rushing at that.

I also got all the handover stuff for Induction this week that I’m taking on. I need to read it next week and work out next steps, before doing so my brain had a thought about a New Starter Pathway and where that leads from and too, I put that on a posit note, it’s on the window.

Memory Jar

Going for a sunrise walk with Eloise (we held hands) starting to clear out the compost heap (nature is beautiful).
