Weeknotes 12th Nov

On Monday I had so much energy, optimism and drive, got through so much so quickly. On Tuesday I picked up the pieces and started to recalibrate and calm down. Wednesday and Thursday were both average, which given Monday and Tuesday was much appreciated. Today was different than I expected but lovely none the less.

This caused a ripple of excitement in the Service Team chat on Tuesday, so I thought I’d add it here.

I’m helping the Defra Group EDI Team prep for a workshop at ExCo which meant I read this Defra group equality, diversity and inclusion strategy 2020 to 2024 — GOV.UK and put some of it in Miro which also helped with my understanding — read and seen lots of other things as well in prep. I had forgotten the depth of tensions that central teams need to handle.

This popped up on Twitter on Thursday The sound of silence which I enjoyed and shared in a called shortly after reading.

On Friday moved our FFCP Wellbeing Day from the 2nd December to the 6th. I don’t like moving things when they have been set out far in advance, it’s always going to mess-up some else’s plan… and sure enough it’s not helpful for Mirren :( I think it was the right decision though.

On Tuesday I had my 6th chat with my coach who is both helping me find stepping stones, and pebbles. This was my homework for this weeks session (oh and last months). The chats are sooooooooo helpful.

Memory Jar

Watching Fireworks with Eloise and getting candy floss. Sticky hands.
